REASONING AND MEMORY LAB
Home: Welcome

Welcome to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Reasoning and Memory Lab (RAM Lab). We are a part of the Department of Psychology‘s Psychological and Brain Sciences Program at UNLV. In the RAM Lab, we conduct psychological research studies that examine multiple topics in cognitive psychology. One line of research explores autobiographical memory and narrative identity, focusing on how life stories change and how our memory system supports our sense of self. Another line of research looks at the cognitive changes that occur during offender rehabilitation that contribute to reducing recidivism. Another studies the interaction between music and narrative memory, looking at how music shapes our memory for things we experience alongside that music. Another examines how memory handles conflicting information between written descriptions and visual images, specifically looking at if memory bias plays a role in recall memory. Finally, another investigates the best practices for online education, including how novel AI technology is shaping education and what impact it has on cognition.
